The 26th of October 2022, the city of Paris presented  #SLOADZ in action. Members from the EIT Urban Mobility, FACTUAL , Parkunload , Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Engineering IAO our research partner, and Artech International BVBA participated in this visit to see Paris amazing progress.

The pilot is located in the south of the 10th arrondissement of Paris, characterised by its high density of both residents and commercial uses, and located close to two main train stations: Gare du Nord and Gare de l’Est. It is therefore an area of great attraction and travel for production and logistics. In the 10th arrondissement a total of  80 loading/delivery zones were equipped with Bluetooth technologies connected to the Parkunload solution in the 10th district of the city of Paris, so logistics operators can declare their arrival and departure on the Parkunload application, and the traffic enforcement agents can improve the efficiency of the zones’ enforcement efforts.

This pilot is lead by Michele-Angelique Nicol of Ville de Paris, and evaluated by Laetitia Dablanc of the Université Gustave Eiffel. Congratulations to this amazing team on their progress. Stay tuned to see their results in the coming months.
